You can add all of the information you'd like to share with customers straight from the Content Hub in the main menu.

For a truly optimised profile, make sure you have:

  • At least 3-9 high quality, appealing images

  • A promotional video for your business

  • A strong description of the services you provide

  • Service packages to detail your pricing & options

  • A brief overview of your typical clients

  • More detail about the story behind your business

  • Team details & a team photo

  • Experience & credentials

Choosing Imagery & Videos

A picture is worth a thousand words. Add 6 or more inviting images of your set-up, staff, or past successes to your profile. Consider the examples below, they are sharp, professional and help the organiser get a feel for the service provided. Make sure to select up to 9 relevant images that specifically showcase your services and expertise.

We also have space for you to add a quick promotional video to help customers imagine their big day with you in it!

Your Description

Often you are selling an experience as well as a product, so customers are keen to know the people behind the business. Think of it like your website's about section.

Help customers learn more about you by following these tips:

  • Share your passion for what you do with a story about why you started your business.

  • Explain what makes your service unique - stories about your team always go down well.

  • Detail a few examples of previous clients that you have worked with.

  • Include examples of packages and unique services you offer to showcase what you do at a glance.

  • Use bullet points, headings and structure to make your description easy to read at a glance.

  • Be professional, double check your spelling and punctuation. Customers notice mistakes and appreciate the attention to detail.

Packages

A great way to make your profile stand out is by including Packages.

Packages are pre-set bundles that showcase what you offer - sharing your different services & pricing options in a clear, attractive way. They allow customers to see at a glance exactly what you offer and how you price your services so they can compare value and choose the option that best fits their needs.

When creating a package, make sure you include:

  • A clear and descriptive package name

  • A detailed list of what’s included in the package (services, items, timings, extras)

  • Transparent pricing

  • High-quality photos to bring your package to life

  • Parameters like suitable guest counts or event types

Well-crafted packages help customers to understand your pricing before they send an invite. They're also a great opportunity to add more photos to your profile and showcase what you do.

Whether you offer variations of the same service (e.g. different street food menus depending on the event type) or multiple different services (such as DJ hire which can be packaged with a dance floor, lighting, and a photo booth), you have the flexibility to showcase what you do with packages.

Typical clients

Use this field to describe the kinds of clients or events you usually work with to help potential customers see if you're a good fit for their event.

Example: We cater to private events, such as weddings, birthdays, and corporate parties, as well as public festivals and markets across Greater Manchester and the North West.

Tell your story

Use this space to tell people why you do what you do.

Share things like your background in the field, how you got started or what inspires you. This makes your profile feel more personal and relatable.

Example: Example Catering began with a simple idea - to bring the authentic flavours of Greece to Manchester’s streets. After travelling through the Greek islands and falling in love with the local cuisine, our founder wanted to recreate that same experience back home: fresh ingredients, cooked with care, served with warmth.

Team details & team photo

Add a description and a photo to introduce the people behind your business. This is a simple way to build trust & show the face behind all your hard work.

Example: We’re a small but passionate team. John, our head chef, brings years of experience in Mediterranean cooking and an eye for authentic flavours. Jenny, our events coordinator, ensures every booking runs smoothly on the day & your custom requests are catered for.


Plus our friendly serving crew share the same love of Greek hospitality and make every customer feel like part of the family.

Experience & awards

Showcase your experience and achievements to build credibility. Add things like how many years you've been in business, key milestones & achievements, or awards you've received.

Example: Since firing up our grill for the first time in 2020, we’ve catered everything from intimate garden parties to large corporate events and city food festivals. We’ve worked with venues and private customers across Greater Manchester and beyond -building a reputation for reliability, flavour, and friendly service.

Credentials (e.g. memberships, professional bodies, hygiene ratings)

This field is your space to add details of memberships you have, professional bodies you're part of or certifications you hold to show customers you're qualified and reliable.

Example:

  • All staff are Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene certified

  • 5-star Food Hygiene Rating

  • We operate under full public liability insurance

  • NCASS member

Positive Reviews

Your star rating is displayed next to your quote so even one 5 star review can really help to make you stand out. It also reassures the customer that you provide a high quality, reliable service.

If you’ve previously completed a job through Add to Event it’s essential that you ask the organiser to leave a review afterwards as this can have a big impact on future bookings (how to collect reviews).

If you’re new to Add to Event and haven’t got your first booking yet, you can always add screenshots or PDF attachments of previous reviews from other platforms to your quotes & profile so customers can see how great you are & further establish trust.
