Joining Add to Event and setting up your profile

Updated yesterday

You begin creating a business profile from the moment you sign up as a supplier on Add To Event from our join page: https://www.addtoevent.co.uk/join.

Before you can create quotes on Add To Event we ask you to add:

  • Your name

  • Your business name

  • A short description of your business

  • A longer description of your business

  • At least three images

  • A link to your website or social media (in the appropriate field) so we can verify your business

Your Business Profile is a really important way of selling your business on Add To Event. Spend time on it to make it as attractive as possible to organisers and it will pay back in higher booking volumes.

Here are some tips as to what to include in your profile.

A short description of your business (also called a Subtitle)

This should be a snappy sentence about your business which tells a customer what you are about, such as the services you offer & your location.

Try not to repeat what you write in the longer description.

A longer description (also called a Description)

This should be a lengthier description of why your business is great and why a customer should choose you!

For instance, if you create amazing wood fired pizzas you should be telling prospective customers:

  • What kind of pizzas you make.

  • Who you are and why you are passionate about pizza making.

  • What kind of ingredients you use.

  • What types of events you love providing services for.

  • What amazing experiences you have provided in the past.

In short: Tell customers why they should pick you over anyone else!

Images

We require you to submit at least three images before you can submitting quotes. Please choose images which will show customers how great you are. You could show your best dishes, your team, happy customers, or previous events you've worked.

Customers love to try and imagine what it would be like hosting you at their event! Help them with the best imagery you can find.

Additional Information

While you're waiting for your profile to be published, you may also wish to flesh out your profile with a range of other information to show off what you do and put your best foot forward.

You can add a range of important information, including:

  • Typical clients

  • Video link (Vimeo or Youtube)

  • Story behind your business

  • Team details & team photo

  • Experience & awards

  • Credentials (e.g. memberships, professional bodies, hygiene ratings)

Completing these parts of your profile provides customers with a richer, more detailed understand of what you do which can help to tell your story, build trust and win more work.
