How do I confirm a booking myself?

Keeping track of your bookings via Add to Event

Updated this week

We understand that a lot of communication between you and your customers happens outside of Add to Event. This can mean that some customers may not always return to Add to Event to click confirm on the booking even after you have agreed that you are their chosen supplier.

Typically, we suggest that you encourage the customer to return to Add to Event and "select" your quote. This will close their request so they will no longer be able to receive quotes from other suppliers.

However, if a booking is confirmed outside of our platform via a phone call or emails, and the customer does not log back in to mark your quote as successful, you may wish to confirm it yourself.

Why is this confirming a booking important?

Having a customer "Select" your quote is important as it allows us to prompt the customer to leave you a review once the event date has passed.

Reviews help you to secure more bookings via our platform, so it's important to get them!

If they have not confirmed the booking, can I do this myself?
Yes! To confirm a booking yourself, follow the instructions below:

  1. Head to the Quotes area from the main menu

  2. Find the quote that you would like to confirm

  3. Click into the quote

  4. Select "I got the job" in the top right hand corner

Once done, the request will move into the Bookings page.

If the event hasn't happened yet, it will appear in the "Upcoming" section. From here, you can continue to chat to the customer and finalise details all the way up until the day of their event.

Or, if the event date has passed, it will appear in the "Completed" section.

How do I ask for reviews from my Add to Event bookings?

To send a reminder to the customer to leave you a review, just go to your completed inbox, find the event request and click "Request Review". This will send them an invite to leave you a review.

You can also send another reminder by clicking "Send Final Reminder", naturally we'd advise waiting a few days to a week before sending the second reminder!
