How to apply enhanced service filters

Ensure you're only matching with the perfect requests by using custom service filters

Updated over a week ago

Are you spending a lot of time sorting through requests to find the perfect one?

Using advanced service filters will save you time browsing your inbox, helping you reduce the requests you receive, removing any you don't want from your inbox so you can instantly match with those that are best for you.

You can set individual filters for each service for the following factors:

  • Location

  • Travel distance

  • Number of guests

  • Event type

  • How guests pay

  • Plus many more service-specific filters (e.g. "service style" for catering)

To apply service filters, follow these steps

  1. Head to Request Preferences in the main menu and select Service Preferences to see a list of the services you're currently listed for.

  2. Click into any service to take you to the Edit area.

  3. Review filter options and select / de-select the options that suit you.

Top tips for using service filters

  • Some filters are universal.
Guest numbers and location preferences apply to almost every single category you list for. Maybe you'll travel 200 miles for a large wedding catering request but only 50 miles for canapés. You can tailor your individual settings to suit your every need.

  • Others vary depending on the category.
Make sure you take a look at each category and it's individual service filters as these can vary. For example, if you’re listed as a street food van, you have the option to filter by preferred payment method (guests will pay themselves or host pays upfront). Whereas if you’ve added the wedding catering category, you'll have filters such as staff roles (clean away, run the bar, serve the meal, etc).

  • Add more services then niche down.
We always advise its best to add as many services as you can and filter down later to ensure you’re not missing out on your dream requests.
