How to quote on less informative requests

Updated over 2 months ago

When customers submit a request, we try to ask as many questions as we can to get all the information you need to make an informed quote - and we manually review each one to ensure an acceptable level of detail.

However, if the request is missing any information you need to make a comprehensive quote, we recommend:

  • Responding with ballpark figures - explain your price per hour, price per head, package options or other pricing strategy

  • Explain your services - include any upsells or different pricing packages

  • Ask specific questions - to get the answers you need to finalise the quote

  • Explain the estimate - tell customers that the quote you've provided is an estimate and you're open to being flexible

  • Request a phone call - if the customer has left a phone number, give them a call to find out more information. Or include your contact details to ask them to get in touch with you.

Remember, it's important to complete the Quote Cost field to boost your chances of getting booked. But, the quote you provide isn't final or concrete! You can explain this to the customer in the quote & ask for any further information you need to provide a final quote.
