I am not receiving any emails. Why?

What to do if you think you are not getting emails

Updated over a week ago

We work with our email provider to make sure we have the highest levels of deliverability of our emails and to ensure that they do not end up in spam folders. But occasionally emails do not get to our users.

Email notifications might be blocked when the Add to Event mail server detects hard bounces. Hard bounces occur when emails cannot be delivered to the recipient's inbox due to reasons such as full mailboxes or emails being flagged as spam by the recipient's email provider. To prevent system blacklisting, Add to Event may temporarily block email delivery to certain addresses.

If you have followed the steps below and can't find any emails from us, please get in touch so we can check our system and ensure your email address is whitelisted.

Check your junk spam / junk mail

As soon as you notice you're receiving fewer emails from us, the first place to look is in your spam or junk mail folder. If you see any of our emails in there, please classify them as "Not Spam". In Gmail it will look like this:

Once you have done this, it should mean that your emails will start flowing into your normal inbox

Search for emails from Add To Event

Most of our emails will have the words "Add To Event" in them. Please search for this in your emails. If they are in your junk folder, please carry out the above procedure.

Also, please search for emails from the following email addresses:

We recommend adding the email addresses above to your contact list to prevent your email system from blocking these notifications.

Additionally, ensure your mailbox has sufficient storage space to receive new emails and lower your spam filter threshold if needed to prevent emails from being blocked.

Review your email notification settings

We have a range of options when it comes to which notifications you would like to receive from us.

To check you're set up to be notified about all new requests and responses, follow the instructions below:

  • In the main menu expand the Request Preferences drop down

  • Select Notifications

  • Review your options and tick any email notifications that you would like to receive

  • Make sure to press Save changes

If you still can't find any emails, please get in contact with our support team.

For additional help, reach out to the Add to Event support team. Provide detailed information about your issue to help expedite the resolution process.
