We collect as much information as possible about every request submitted through Add to Event and manually check each one before sending them out to you. Fake requests are therefore extremely rare - but we always advise you to do their own due diligence, as you would if the customer had approached you organically.
Where do our organisers come from?
Our organisers are a mixture of people who have used us before, people who find us through Google looking for services, as well as professional event organisers regularly browsing the site.
We check each request before it is published to remove any spam/false requests.
We do recommend that before finalising a booking or arranging payment that you speak with customers over the phone or in person, use your usual deposit or contract systems, and verify details of the event, customer, or organisation before proceeding to any transactions.
What to do if you think a request is spam?
If you ever spot a request that you suspect not to be genuine or not right in some other way, please tell us immediately.
You can find the report request button in the Event Details area of every request to notify us of any requests that seem suspicious. We can then investigate these further.
