How do I decline a request or invite?

Tell an organiser you aren't able to quote on their invite

Updated this week

There are two different processes for declining an event, based on whether it is a general request or an invite. Learn more about the difference here.

Archiving Requests

When you receive a request you're not interested in, all you have to do is simply archive it! There's no need to decline or give a reason why. The organiser has not specifically asked you to quote but we have suggested their request to you as one you may like to quote for.

The customer won't know which businesses have received this request, so there will be no impact on your reputation and the customer will not be notified of your decision to archive.

Declining Invites

When an organiser invites you to quote, it's important you send a decline if you can't make it or it doesn't suit your needs. This is because the organiser has specifically asked you to quote.

You can decline the invite by clicking on the menu in the event request:

Click on the "Decline Invite" link and select one of the reasons for declining the invite. This will notify the customer of your reasons.
